If you live near Jakarta and you feel bored with the Bogor scene, Bandung and tired of its traffic, the other alternative you can have is Lampung. This is actually good place for you to come. You can enjoy more than enough some beautiful place, beach, and extraordinary place for your family and yourself.
One of the most famous places in Lampung is its beach and the Elephant School. Those things are the best part of Lampung. You can have it all along the Lampung province for the beach of course. Its scene will spoil you, white sands, fresh air and sometimes you can also find the fresh seafood that you can directly buy and eat on the spot.
Way Kambas, I think this is the most popular place in Lampung. Anyone in the world will know that Lampung will be identical with Way Kambas, because I think this is the biggest training place for elephant in Indonesia. But we won’t talk about Way Kambas here. I want you to know another place inside the Way Kambas.
WayKanan River
If you know Way Kambas, I think you will also know about Way Kanan Resort. Way Kanan Resort is also part of Way Kambas. So it won’t be difficult to find. You can come directly to the place after you pass the “Plang Ijo” or the gate to enter this place. During the trip form the gate to the place, sometimes there are few animals across the street and that are very natural. This place is really suitable for you that want to do some “back to nature” activity.
Inside the Way Kanan Resort you can find some place, such Sumatran Rhinos Sanctuary, which is the place for original rhinos form Sumatra, protection and the breeding, because the population of this Rhinos are almost vanished. Another place to go is the Sumatran Tiger Sanctuary. This is really good palace to go, you can get both beautiful scene, natural and supporting the activity. Another things you can do in this resort is like tracking or hiking inside the forest, ride the bat through the river in this place or may be you want just finding some beautiful animals and flora here and accompanied with the attendant.
Way Kanan Resort as I told you before is part of Way Kambas National Park. You can find it after you find Way Kamabs National Park. The place is not that far from Jakarta, may be you just need around 7 to 12 hours and it will totally fun. Inside this Way Kanan Resort you will find another original forest that currently very hard to find, especially in Jakarta. Here, you can find much type of flora and fauna, because there are four type of ecosystem in this Resort.
Finding new place to go and enjoy the new atmosphere is the most interesting thing that we can do in our weekdays. After we have some difficult time in our office, I am sure we need to relax from it and I think this place will help you lots.
